Senior Network Engineer - Product IT

• Act as a mentor and provide guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topologies and procedures. Provide reports on network performance and runbooks on network issues, resolutions


Your Experience
Qualifications
• Over 8 years of network-related software engineering experience, with a focus on designing, managing and deploying network infrastructure for distributed systems. 
• Fluency in C++ and Python in a Linux/Unix environment
• Proficiency in DDS protocols (e.g. RTI DDS)
• Experience with large-scale network traffic performance analysis and optimization methods (QoS and DSCP)
• A good understanding of network and routing protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IGMP, OSPF, BGP).
• Proficiency in network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems. 
• Experience in implementing, operating, and supporting tools for network and security monitoring. 
• Familiarity with tagging, tunneling, and encapsulation methods and standards, including SSL-VPN, WireGuard, IPSEC, L2TP, VXLAN, QinQ, EVPN, and related methods, across IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
• Experience in data-centric design paradigms and quality of service configurations.
• Demonstrated strength and understanding of designing, scaling, troubleshooting, and optimizing connection infrastructure over various LAN and WAN mediums, including WiFi and LTE/5G
• A track record of technical excellence and successful projects under minimal supervision.

• Ability to troubleshoot and run root cause analysis on a system, including packet-level traffic analysis.
