Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Senior Front End Engineer with extensive experience in JavaScript development to join our dynamic team at Saltmine. As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of our cutting-edge SaaS platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that exceed customer expectations and drive business growth.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Front End Development:
   • Lead the design, development, and implementation of responsive, intuitive user interfaces for our enterprise SaaS platform using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
   • Utilize HTML5, CSS3, and advanced JavaScript techniques to create dynamic, interactive web applications that deliver an exceptional user experience.
   • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
2. Architecture and Design:
   • Collaborate with the product management and design teams to translate business requirements and user stories into technical specifications and robust front-end solutions.
   • Architect efficient, reusable, and modular front end components and libraries that promote code reusability, maintainability, and scalability.
   • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in front-end development to continuously enhance the architecture and design of our SaaS platform.
3. Quality Assurance and Testing:
   • Implement comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of front end components and features.
   • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards.
   • Collaborate with QA engineers to identify and address bugs, performance issues, and usability concerns in a timely manner.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
   • Work closely with back end engineers, UX designers, and product managers to iteratively develop and refine features, APIs, and user interfaces that align with customer needs and business objectives.
   • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to prioritize tasks, track progress, and continuously improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
   • Create and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and code repositories to facilitate knowledge sharing, onboarding of new team members, and seamless collaboration across departments.
   • Mentor junior engineers and share expertise in front end development best practices, tools, and methodologies to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 10+ years of professional experience in front end development, with a strong focus on JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proficiency in one or more modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of web technologies, browser compatibility issues, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools (e.g., Webpack), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of TypeScript, WebAssembly, or other advanced front end technologies.
• Previous experience in the development of enterprise SaaS applications or workplace management solutions.
