Role:

Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) is a Hybrid Engineering role that requires skills in both development & testing aspects of software development.

Responsibilities:

Salesforce.com seeks an experienced Force.com Software Developer to join our Legal, Risk, and Compliance Applications development team.

Do you love building stuff? You will be responsible for developing the backend architecture and writing highly scalable internal web applications using Force.com technologies. You must have an excellent background in Java or Force.com programming and application design and an excellent understanding of Javascript, CSS, XML, and HTML. You will be responsible for developing and architecting through all front-end to back-end development lifecycle phases. You will use your experience to work with team members to develop new features and enhance existing infrastructure and frameworks. You should have a history of building successful Web-based solutions using Web Services and the ability to grasp various unfamiliar technologies and integrate them quickly.

You should write code that others can understand, support, maintain, and expand, and provide other team members with direction on development projects. You are aware of trends and technical developments in the industry and how those can be applied in your work, and have a point of view on the delivery approach for very complex or foundational features. You have the demonstrated ability to anticipate technology lifecycle issues, work with projects involving multiple systems, and influence the team to deliver durable, extensible solutions.

We're looking for people with that unique mix of technical ability, curiosity, and analytical mind to help us ensure every line of code we push to production as part of the Business Technology applications is of the highest quality. As SMTS, you would be part of the engineering team, working closely with other technical staff members, business systems analysts, and product owners who are responsible for adding new features or improving the current applications.

This job requires that you be a quick learner and self-starter who can work under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines, and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. You should be able to work in a fun, creative and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for adapting quickly, motivating people, instilling accountability, and achieving results. You must possess good oral and written communication/documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on many projects within the team’s portfolio.

Requirements/Experience:

  • 7+ years of IT experience with hands-on working experience in the Force.com

  • Strong working knowledge of APEX (classes, triggers, and web services), Visual Force, Salesforce APIs, SOQL, Force.com platform

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Platform Event Integration and Change Data Capture

  • Proficient in object-oriented design, knowledge of design patterns/ trigger/ integration framework

  • Experience with Lightning, LWC frameworks, and communication Events.

  • Expertise with Web Services using REST

  • Experience with Salesforce data tools (Data Loader/ Jitterbit/any other ETL tool)

  • Very good DevOps understanding and exposure to CI/CD automation software delivery

  • Experience writing compelling unit test scenarios and being aware of test class best practices

  • Proven ability to lead and influence the design approach to new applications and features.

  • Understanding of various user-based security models.

  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Certified Platform Developer I or equivalent experience

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross-functional and cross-vendor teams and deliver aggressive timelines

  • Bachelor's Degree in CS or any engineering discipline

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Requirements/Experience:

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Certifications in Force.com and/or Java

  • Strong experience with Selenium automation

  • Understanding of various user-based security models

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud

  • Strong experience with Javascript frameworks such as Jquery, Angular, and/or ExtJS

  • Participate in product and feature design with technical staff members, business systems analysts, and product managers & influence the outcomes.

  • Excellent cross-group communication and problem-solving skills
