Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Implement and manage systems and microservices in the cloud at scale. Lead high profile project components while collaborating with teammates and other teams. Assign and work on the next story at the top of the backlog while moving it in progress and update the storyboard with the latest status. Participate in design or project meetings with other teams. Code and build infrastructure while collaborating with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to resolve incidents. Review pull requests from team members, or from other teams in areas of expertise or interest. Collaborate with the Security team to ensure AWS management policies are up to date and enforced. Evaluate OS kernels and package upgrades for both functional compatibility as well as performance changes. Refine server monitoring to ensure increased visibility and decreased unactionable pages. Proactively identify new complex problem spaces and drive to innovate and solve them ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered. 

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Linux; (2) Python; (3) Perl; (4) Shell Scripting; (5) SQL; (6) Django; (7) Celery; (8) Pandas; (9) Ansible; (10) Jenkins; (11) Docker; (12) ELK; and (13) ActiveMQ. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $215,197 to $227,700.
