Role Overview:

Salesforce.com is looking for an experienced Force.com Software Developer to join our Customer Success M&A Applications development team.  Do you love building stuff? You will be responsible for developing the backend architecture and writing highly scalable internal web applications using Force.com technologies. You must have an excellent background in Force.com programming and application design, and an excellent understanding of Java, Javascript, CSS, XML, and HTML. You will be responsible for developing and architecting through all phases of the front-end to the back-end development lifecycle. You will use your experience to work with team members to develop new features, as well as, enhance existing infrastructure and frameworks. You should have a history of building successful Web-based solutions using Web Services and the ability to grasp a variety of unfamiliar technology and integrate them quickly.

You should write code that others can understand, support, maintain and expand, and provide other team members with direction on development projects. You are aware of trends and technical developments in the industry, and how those can be applied in your work; and have a point of view on the delivery approach for very complex or foundational features. You have the demonstrated ability to anticipate technology lifecycle issues, work with projects involving multiple systems, and influence the team to deliver durable, extensible solutions.

As SMTS, you would be part of the engineering team, working closely with other technical staff members, business systems analyst and product owner who are responsible for adding new features or improving the current applications.

This job requires that you be a quick learner, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. You should have the ability to work in a fun, creative and fast paced environment. You will be responsible to adapt quickly, motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results. You must possess good oral and written communication/documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on many projects within the team’s portfolio.

Basic Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree - ideally in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS (Master's Preferred)
* 7+ years of experience programming with Force.com (Apex and Visualforce)
* Strong hands-on experience in Triggers, API, Flows, LWC
* Extensive experience with HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
* 5+ years of extensive experience implementing Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
* 5+ years of experience in design of complex data models and and expertise in relational database languages (SQL or SOQL)
* 5+ years of experience with complex projects using Web Services integration (SOAP and REST)
* 5+ years of extensive experience with JavaScript (JS)
* Experience developing in an enterprise environment such as source code control, IDE, continuous deployment, release management (Perforce, Git, Eclipse, Jenkins)
* Plan, design and enhance automation framework, utilities and tools
* 5+ years experience in designing and implementing automated test suite that are fast, robust, and maintainable using Java-based tools such as Selenium Web Driver, JUnit, and Apex
* 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering developing test framework using an OOP language, such as Apex, Java, C#, etc. and testing in web based environment, SaaS preferred
* Document test plans and publish test results with the goal of continuous improvement in code quality, test coverage (functionality and code)
* Ability to lead and influence the design approach to new applications and features
* Ability to lead, participate and contribute to product code reviews
* Diagnose, track and manage quality issues to resolution required
* Understanding of various user based security models and experience with performance tuning
* Effectively communicate status and risk to the team and manager
* Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
* Certifications: Salesforce Admin, Salesforce Advanced Admin, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Platform Developer II

Preferred Requirements/Experience:

* Masters degree - ideally in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS
* 10+ Experience developing with Force.com ( Visualforce & Apex Code) and Java
* Experience developing on the Salesforce.com platform & API’s
* Enterprise system integration background w/ Web Services
* Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
* Must have Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce App Builder and Salesforce Administrator certifications
* Experience with Selenium automation
* Understanding of various user based security models
* Strong experience with Javascript frameworks such as Jquery, Angular and/or ExtJS
* Participate in product and feature design with technical staff members, business systems analyst and product managers & influence the outcomes
* Excellent cross-group communication and problem solving skills
* Additional Certification like Salesforce Application architects are desired
* Familiarity with Mulesoft, Tableau, Jitterbit, AWS, and Splunk
