Data Platform Engineer

SafeGraph is looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our growing team. SafeGraph is the most accurate database of global points of interest, curated to power the most innovative applications, platforms, and analytics.  In this role, you will be building critical infra components to improve reliability and efficiency, and partnering closely with engineers across teams to raise productivity.

Opportunity to:

• Build a scalable and easy to use job platform on top of EKS supporting 10s of 1000s of jobs
• Use techs including but not limited to Remote Shuffle/Native Execution Engine to optimize large scale data processing applications
• Build abstraction on top of multiple vendors to ease the use of cloud technologies
• Build sophisticated tech to manage data schema internally and externally

About you:

• Deep understanding of distributed services/data systems
• Proficiency in one of the high level programming languages, e.g. Scala/Java/Python
• At least 3 years of experience in programming
  
  

Great-to-haves:

• Familiarity with all things building data products - schema design, modeling, optimization, scalability
• Expertise in building/tuning large scale data processing pipelines/systems, but this is not a role to build data pipelines.
• Experience with building/managing ML infrastructure
