About The Role
We’re seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. You will develop the Cloud Direct product as part of the data clients group, improving our data movement technology. The group is responsible for our high performance NAS clients and seamless integrations with 3rd-party storage vendors. The code is built entirely in-house with Go.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to the team
- Push performance boundaries, scaling our product beyond billions of files.
- Investigate protocol interaction problems between our clients and customer servers
- Develop new integrations with 3rd-party storage vendors
- Improve and extend protocol support for our NFS and SMB clients
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience writing production code
- Proficiency in a typed language, preferably Go
- Prior experience working with network protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with filesystem details, either POSIX or a specific filesystem (e.g. EXT4, NTFS, WAFL, OneFS, etc.)
- Familiarity with Network Attached Storage (NAS)
- Knowledge of cryptographic primitives and protocols
- Excited by a customer-centric development environment.
