As a Principal Backend Engineer, you will have the independence, opportunity, and the end-to-end responsibility to help us create an important and complex set of backend features to support the creators of games and other experiences within our Roblox ecosystem.
The Creator Success Team empowers Roblox to be the best development platform for creating 3D social experiences, enabling our creators to publish, manage and monetize compelling content within the Roblox ecosystem. This includes products such as Creation Analytics, Talent Marketplace, Documentation, Developer Forum, and Creator Dashboard. You will create and own mission critical services in this cross-discipline team within our Roblox ecosystem. This job is based in San Mateo, CA.
You Are:

You Have:
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience with scalable, available, distributed systems.
- 8+ years of experience with either of Python, Java, Go C++, C#.
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams for high-impact projects.

- Set a technical vision and direction of the systems working with cross functional partners
- Build state-of-the-art systems that are ultra-scalable and resilient to failures
