Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, ROS Experience

ROS Experiences is a new team working across two exciting projects with more expected as we continue to grow. Multiple projects will add variety to our team members’ day-to-day work, regularly offering them new and interesting challenges. Our work on Assessment Tools has proven immensely successful in vetting the best NCG and Intern candidates and will only grow going forward. Our newest project, Roblox Office, is only just ramping up and those that join will be on the ground floor of helping define the future of work and collaboration within the Roblox ecosystem. We are one of very few groups within the company that use Roblox’s external facing tools to develop and deploy to the Roblox platform. As such, we are able to help shape the future technologies that Roblox will provide to its Creators. 

You Are

• Passionate about and an expert at building web applications and knowledgeable with front and back-end technologies
• A technical contributor that can translate product requirements into scalable architecture
• Proficient in writing readable, extensible, modular, and testable code
• Effective at collaborating with individuals from all disciplines
• Able to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities
• Comfortable working across multiple teams to make pragmatic tradeoffs and quick decisions

You Will

• Translate product designs into accessible user experiences
• Build and maintain internal component libraries
• Build and maintain backend systems inside and outside of the Roblox ecosystem
• Collaborate with many disciplines to build experiences in Roblox Studio to run on the Roblox platform
• Architect and build systems and user facing features
• Work closely with live-ops and the rest of the technical team to maintain multiple, always-on, products
• Mentor other engineers as well as non-technical team members

You Have   

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience working as a software engineer
• Experience with one or more modern front-end web frameworks
• Expertise with 2+ programming languages
• Bonus: Experience with Roblox Studio or other game engine editors
• Bonus: Experience developing game systems and architecture
