About The Role
We’re looking for a leading frontend engineer to help us build our BFF (Backend for Frontend) layer from 0 to 1. You will be responsible for scaling our payroll product for the international market and driving the architecture for our global components, both web and mobile. The role has high ownership, impact, and visibility role in building a product that will create a step change in Rippling’s growth.
What you will do
- Build BFF (Backend for frontend) layer for Rippling from scratch and make it scalable for to be used across all of our products and services.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, PMs, and fellow engineers to plan features to help bring a high quality product to market
- Work closely with our VP Engineering and help build a Global Payroll Frontend system.
- Be part of our Frontend Architecture Team and help 70+ frontend engineers boosting their development cycle.
- Translate wireframes into functional requirements, write well-abstracted, reusable, high-performance code for UI components.
- Suggest continuous improvements in user interface, software architecture or new technologies.
What you will need
- 8+ years experience in front end engineering roles. We use React, TypeScript and JavaScript on the front end.
- Experience in building/working with BFF and GraphQl.
- Strong understanding of JS fundamentals.
- Understanding of design patterns in JavaScript and knowledge of front end performance optimization techniques
- Good understanding with build tools and web performance.
- Fluent in writing high quality code with relevant test suits.
