Senior Software Engineer - Identity Platform

About the Role:

The Identify and Authentication team makes our customers more secure through single sign-on, RPass and by enforcing automated security policies. People joining this team will get to lead or be part of projects such as: 

• Building ML-based models to automate threat detection.
• Building next level policy driven access control.
• High availability engineering of Auth and Rpass.
• Frictionless-Auth projects like: Passwordless login, Device trust, Push notification MFA.
• Stealth 0 to 1 Rippling product in the security space.

What You'll Do: 

• Design and implement highly available architecture for the authentication service and Rpass, which have the highest uptime requirement of Rippling products.
• Provide technical leadership of projects.
• Collaborate with our product manager, product designer, and other engineers on the IT and Security team and other teams, and build new features, APIs.
• Advocate for user experience and quality during development.
• Contribute to the roadmap of the team.
• Troubleshoot and do a Root cause analysis of support issues and incidents, and propose fixes and architecture changes.
• Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Experience building high availability systems. 
• Experience is preferred but not required in the cybersecurity space. Interest in the cybersecurity domain is a requirement.
• You deeply care about customer impact.

New York City: [$189,000 - $258,000/year] 

Colorado: [$160,000 - $220,000/year]
