About Rippling
About the Role:
The Identity team is responsible for the products and infrastructure that secure our customers’ activity on our platform and empower connecting them seamlessly to the external applications they use on a daily basis.
The team owns various domain-related products:
- Encompassing user identity management
- Multi-factor authentication
- Single sign-on
- Authentication settings
- Authentication risk analysis
- Password manager
- Activity logging, etc.
Moreover, the team builds a highly scalable and reliable authentication infrastructure that powers all Rippling products.
What You'll Do:
- Develop high-quality and scalable authentication services, which have the highest uptime requirement of Rippling products
- Apply industry-leading technologies to secure our customers
- Make critical technical decisions and contribute to the roadmap of the team
- Solve complex problems which are unique for Rippling
- Provide leadership and ownership of one or many product spaces
- Advocate for user experience by connecting to the different company partners and our end-users
- Learn and understand how your product can help Rippling continually differentiate itself
- Mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional work experience as a software engineer
- Experience building a large-scale platform for web and mobile apps
- Expertise in building complex distributed services
- Strong CS knowledge
- You care about product ownership and solving problems for our customers
- You’re passionate about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer impact
- Bonus points if you are proficient in Python Django, Golang, and MongoDB
- Bonus points if you’ve previously worked with AWS
- Bonus points if you’ve had direct experience with the Identity domain
- Bonus points if you’ve ever worked as a full-stack engineer
Additional Information
This role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. The salary for US-based employees located in the below markets may expect offers in the below ranges for this role.
New York City: [$189,000 - $258,000/year]
Colorado: [$160,000 - $220,000/year]
