We’re looking for a results oriented hands-on engineering leader to help lead and guide teams contributing to the core architecture, scalability and resiliency of the XRPL, along with the practices and tools that enable developers to contribute and build on top of this blockchain. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide technical and strategic leadership for RippleX’s long term strategy, ensuring detailed execution building blockchain software and systems that are scalable and reliable 
• Author and deliver roadmaps while driving technical and operational excellence across the engineering organization
• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team
• Provide hands-on technical leadership
• Encourage and drive engineering standard processes
• Collaborate with partners across Ripple and in the XRPL community
• Establish agile processes that empower the team to innovate and meet their objectives in an incremental manner
• Translate technical concepts into tailored content for different audiences including engineers, business and technical leaders
• Scale the team by attracting and mentoring great leaders and engineers at different levels of experience

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years of hands-on software development leadership experience of high-performing engineers
• Hands-on experience building highly scalable distributed systems in C++
• Experience developing open source software, contributing to open source tooling and libraries, and enabling collaborative development with a wide community of blockchain builders
• Eagerness to work openly and collaboratively with a diverse team, with a positive demeanor and a passion for sharing knowledge.
• A technical domain expert who provides technical leadership and shares expertise with a growing team of engineers.
