Senior Software Test Engineer

Ripcord Inc. seeks a FT Senior Software Test Engineer in Hayward, CA. The primary duty of the Senior Software Test Engineer is to prepare test plans, test cases, Test Automation scripts, and test metrics for digitization software products. This position plays an active role in the software development process. Specific duties include: 1) Work with product owners and business stakeholders to obtain functional testing requirements. 2) Develop, maintain, and execute test plans to verify correct functionality of the applications that company develops and provide input on best practices for test case development. 3) Design, write, maintain, and execute automated tests that allow for the automated testing of applications. 4) Identify and log defects/bugs in JIRA and work with the development team to fix and retest the issue. 5) Work on a complete Agile model and closely work with the development team on sprint releases. Build and deploy for each and every feature and release branches. 6) Develop End to End Composite Automation Framework from scratch using C#, Winapp Driver, Junit, Maven and Visual Studio IDE for windows based desktop applications. 7) Propose ideas and solutions for improved testing procedures. 8) Prepare highly detailed defect reports that describe issues discovered during testing, so development team may identify and resolve the issue described. 9) Use Visual Studio and C# to create unit tests for CI/CD process. 10) Perform regression, performance, and load testing before every release. 11) Execute manual testing where automated testing is not practical. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in software quality assurance engineering or related occupation. Must also have four (4) years of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: 1) working with product owners and business stakeholders to obtain functional testing requirements; 2) developing, maintaining, and executing test plans to verify correct functionality of the applications that company develops and provide input on best practices for test case development; 3) designing, writing, maintaining, and executing automated tests that allow for the automated testing of applications; 4) working on a complete Agile model and closely working with the development team on sprint releases; and 5) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Test Automation Tools: Selenium Web-Driver; Programming Language: Java; Test Automation frameworks: TestNG, JUnit; Web Objects locating strategies: Xpath, Css; Manual Testing Tools: Postman, Oracle SQL developer, Test Methodologies: Agile; Version Control: GIT; Test Management Tools: JIRA, OS Types: Windows, iOS; Continuous Integration Tools: Jenkins. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor’s Degree program. Ripcord carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, skills, and experience.
