About the Role:

The Global Delivery Network team manages the core of Remitly's product: a platform for transferring funds quickly and reliably, ensuring our customers always have a great experience, from send to receive. We ensure the movement of over 12 billion dollars a year through disbursement methods such as bank deposit, cash pickup, mobile wallets, and home delivery.

You will work on a distributed team responsible for the core of Remitly's product; a global disbursement network that moves billions of dollars a year. As a Software Development Engineer II at Remitly, you are a builder, responsible for taking on complex technical and customer problems and creating delightful products backed by scalable systems. We aim for quality software as a starting point and believe that work-life balance is required to make this happen. We run on modern technology stacks, relying on AWS offerings, automated testing, monitoring, and mature deployment infrastructure.

You Will:

• Be passionate about delivering on promises to customers by ensuring funds arrive quickly and reliably to recipients around the world
• Build scalable and maintainable platforms to power disbursement of funds for multiple product lines, using technologies like Golang, Java, and AWS.
• Work cross-functionally with partnering product engineering teams and product managers across Remitly
• Write efficient, well tested, and well documented code.
• Write and review technical specifications for new features to improve the experiences of sending and receiving funds across the globe

You Have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of building, shipping, and maintaining consumer software products
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose languages like Java, JavaScript, Go, PHP, Python
• Knowledgeable in technical architecture and system design concepts
• Clear and objective writing and in-person communication
• A passion for learning new technologies and systems

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $116,710-$150,550. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
