About the team; The research integrity squad is instrumental in driving our Journal distribution process. This team utilizes an advanced tech stack to drive innovation.

About the role, This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

 

Responsibilities:
• Interfacing  with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
• Working closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Implementing a successfully  development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. Resolving complex technical issues as necessary.
 

Requirements

• Have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and implement features that meet business objectives.
• Experience with developing scalable and maintainable back-end services using Java ensuring high performance and reliability.  Knowledge of GoLang is a plus
• Expertise in development languages including Java, JavaScript, React, Spring Framework
• Experience in designing and implementing responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React and JavaScript, adhering to best practices in front-end development.
• Experience utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications, ensuring consistency and scalability across different environments.
• Possess the ability to manage data storage solutions using both relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases, optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Experience with deploying applications on AWS. Experience with containerization applications using Kubernetes
• Ensure the security and compliance of applications by implementing best practices and following industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality, performance, and deployment.
