Team:
Relativity seeks a highly talented Senior Software Test Engineer to join the Avionics & Software organization. This position will support safety and support critical software analysis, test, and certification on embedded devices. This position will be responsible for implementing defined test cases in software and hardware systems that thoroughly demonstrate software compliance and effectiveness at meeting system and software requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Implement defined test cases using a variety of hardware and software simulation tools
- Define and analyze test criteria against a set of expected results and requirements
- Interface with internal and external partner teams to interpret test results and recommend actions and changes to flight software
- Stand up software and hardware simulation environments that can cover all required test cases
What you need to know:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering)
- Demonstrated capability of creating and managing software/hardware testing frameworks for embedded systems
- Experience designing, developing, and testing embedded software.
- Experience writing and testing C/C++ on embedded systems
- Experience writing Python for simulation and test execution
Nice to haves but not required:
- Prior work on a complex vehicle, or hardware/software simulation test platform
- Experience with regulations such as DO-178C or similar software safety standards such as ISO26262, IEC 62304, or MISRA-C/C++
- Experience with software-in-the-loop testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, software failure analysis, and other software tests/analyses
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems on embedded devices
