Description
We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented summer intern who excels in a collaborative, people-first environment here at Regard. In this role, you will join a small cohort of interns and work with our engineering team in helping build our intelligent system to ensure no diagnosis is missed, helping physicians spend less time in the EHR (electronic health records), and dramatically improve healthcare technology and patient care. As a summer intern you will work in a dynamic HealthTech start-up building the future of healthcare. Come join our team. 

In a typical week you may:

  • Develop high impact features for physicians and iterate directly on their feedback
  • Work closely with the design team to brainstorm on new products and features
  • Harden our existing FE infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability within the EHR
  • Experiment with new libraries and feature ideas to push the envelope and impact of Regard
  • Grow full-stack skills like Python/Flask and AWS

Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 1+ years taking university CS courses
  • Willing to work with our common FE frameworks and patterns: React, Redux, Jest, inline styling, automated workflow testing, etc. 
  • Comfortable programming in Python

Preferred qualifications:

  • Excited about working with an agile, small team in a dynamic startup environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate about learning, improving, and helping your team do the same
  • Willing to respectfully debate ideas, take pragmatic approaches, and work hard to accomplish goals with your team
