Civil Engineer, Infrastructure

Redwood Materials is currently recruiting Civil Engineers to join our Infrastructure Development team. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, and construction phases
  • Independently develop high quality civil engineering products including construction document
    drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations
  • Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and
    external team members
  • Review drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and drive multi-disciplinary
    coordination
  • Manage external civil engineering consultants and guide consultant designs through project
    completion.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) Or in process of obtaining PE
  • 5+ yrs of hands-on experience designing and building high-tech/industrial infrastructure and
    operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Experience in civil engineering design, storm water management plans (flood control and storm
    water quality), storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), heavy civil, wastewater, and
    manufacturing operational construction
  • Site development background with experience in design of roadway, grading, pavements,
    sanitary sewer, storm drainage, domestic & fire water main systems, erosion and sediment
    control, and traffic plans
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as hydrology/storm water management
    software for civil design

 

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
