Technical Project Manager | CNET

CNET is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our labs team. You’ll work closely with editors and lab staff to understand the goals of each testing category and to deliver results in compelling visuals. Other responsibilities will include developing policies and procedures for testing new product categories and owning other data processes related to content production. We are looking for a hard-working, meticulous and creative problem-solver who can manage deadlines and prioritize short- and long-term projects. Lab experience is not required, but ideal candidates should have familiarity with related principles in math, science (electric, temperature, fluid), data engineering and software. Experience in digital publishing is also a plus.

This is an in-office role located in our Louisville, Kentucky product testing lab.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and lead lab data visualization efforts
• Organize and communicate data results to editors
• Research scientific principles to support evolving testing procedures 
• Develop and carry out product testing based on established outlines
• Organize and maintain laboratory equipment and software
• Develop and support policies and procedures for testing use
• Oversee day-to-day lab functions and help develop and educate other lab staff

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with databases and data visualization
• Familiarity with technology driven devices
• Familiarity with residential utilities (water, electric, gas, basic construction)
• Basic photo editing skills (resizing, cropping, down/uploading)
• Microsoft Office and Google Suite Proficiency
• Remote employment is NOT available for this position
• Writing experience is a plus

Compensation

• Cash Compensation Range: $75,000-115,000*
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
