Senior Platform Engineer

Our engineers work on a variety of things like information collection and retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, and machine learning

What You'll Do: 

• Design and implement automated and proactive security measures to help improve our security posture
• Work in tandem with the development teams to identify and implement the most optimal and secure cloud-based solutions. 
• Architect and build continuous delivery automated pipelines for a suite of microservices that are secure by default.
• Have a passion for automation and self-healing systems.
• Create and manage the engineering build and deployment process across all environments.
• Execute automated and/or manual test suites throughout projects.
• Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including testing tools, process improvements, and test automation to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance.
• Monitor application logs and responds to errors
• Look for ways to optimize build times and speed up feedback loops
• Work in multi-region based applications
• Work on highly trafficked, scalable systems that support 15k+ requests per second
• Use best practices from the AWS Well Architected Framework 
• Work on CDP, DMP platforms

What We're Looking For: 

• Deep knowledge of AWS development, configuration, and deployment
• Experience with source control management practices and tools, preferably with Git
• Experience with infrastructure as code technologies, preferably Terraform
• Experience creating and maintaining Continuous Integration Automation with platforms such as CircleCI and Github Actions
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and AWS ECS
• Strong scripting skills (Go, Bash, Python) with the ability to develop tooling
• Software development experience (nice to have)
• Experience implementing and working with monitoring and logging solutions like Cloudwatch, New Relic, Prometheus, etc.
• Willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and motivation to succeed and grow
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices in an always-up, always-available environment

• Using advanced algorithms and cutting-edge technologies to empower analytics teams with reliable and actionable data
• Exposure to compelling tools/concepts such as graph databases and distributed event streaming platforms
• Engineering best practices related to CI/CD, compliance, testing, and scalability
• Mentoring fellow teammates and opportunities to expand your own learning through ample L&D opportunities

Compensation: 

• Cash Compensation Range: $130,000 - $195,000*
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
