About the Role

Would you like to work with an international team of superstars in building a world class Data and Analytics platform? If you answered yes, then you could be a candidate to join the Data Services product team at RavenPack.

RavenPack has built a world-class platform for processing public media text content, with state-of-the-art classification technology in order to transform it into structured data that can be used to understand events as they happen in the world.

As a Senior Product Data Analyst, you will take on a key role in the Data Services. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across various databases and systems. You must possess a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Working as a data validation expert, you will play a crucial role in maintaining data integrity and reliability, ultimately contributing to the success of our organization. 

What you Need to Succeed 

• Proven experience (5+ years) working in data validation, data quality assurance, data analysis, or a similar role

• High proficiency in SQL and Python

• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, Amplitude) is a plus

• Experience with data validation tools and techniques, such as data profiling, data cleansing, and data reconciliation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and logically

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to producing high-quality work

• Passion for exploring the data, spotting patterns and detecting inconsistencies

• Ability to clearly document findings, summarize them and present to the stakeholders

The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data validation tests and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data, its quality and integrity

• Review and analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors

• Collaborate with data science teams to understand data requirements and validation criteria

• Develop automated scripts and tools for data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation

• Investigate root causes of data issues and recommend corrective actions and process improvements

• Document data validation processes, procedures, and findings for future reference

• Becoming a subject-matter expert in RavenPack’s data analysis technology

• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to data validation and quality assurance
