The offer

We are currently looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join RavenPack’s Workflow Solutions Backend team in Marbella, Spain. As a DevOps Engineer, you will focus on providing infrastructure solutions that will help to build reliable systems as you participate in building and supporting one of our most innovative cloud-based products.

What will you do?

First month

• During your onboarding process, you will have scheduled meetings with the primary stakeholders of the various teams. This will give you an overall comprehension of all company products in context with the projects you will be working on.

• You will join in the scrum ceremonies, and through activities like pair programming and code reviews, you will be involved in solving real issues from the beginning.

• You will start getting experience with the system infrastructure and databases.

After 3 months

• At this moment you will have enough product and project domain-related exposure to create production-ready infrastructure code and see your changes in action.

• You will also be able to perform your own deployments to the different environments.

• At this stage, your support to the team will have an impact and you will see how the system improves thanks to your contributions.

6 months in

• You will have obtained deep experience and knowledge about the projects and you have become a key member of the team.

• You take ownership of the infrastructure created and provide support, monitoring, and maintenance to all the services and databases.

• You work together with other teams like QA and Security to make sure that everything is monitored and follows the expected operational excellence principles targeting security, performance, reliability and cost effectiveness.

What must you have?

• Have experience with coding infrastructure by using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Cloud Development Kit, or similar.

• Have experience with container orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes.

• Experience with provisioning tools like Ansible.

• Good in development with Python.

• Have experience with some cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.

• Be fluent with administrating Linux systems.

• Be ready to work out of your comfort zone and have the desire for continuous improvement and continuous learning.

• Have an innate desire to learn and teach, excelling in teamwork.

What will be appreciated?

• Be familiar with operating and administrating document-oriented & search databases like Elasticsearch, Vespa, Solr, or similar.

• Knowledge of CI/CD orchestration tools like Jenkins.

• You have tackled scale-up issues in the Cloud.
