Core Responsibility

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing a cutting-edge, scalable application which is being used by millions of customers worldwide. This position offers you an opportunity to work with world-class engineers and build resilient features to support millions of endpoints. The work involves complete ownership from a delivery perspective, including design, architecture, development, operations, and end-to-end support/maintenance of our systems. You will become the face of the team from a feature standpoint on all technical aspects. You will be responsible for guiding and mentoring other talented engineers on your team on highly complex projects and responsible for hiring new engineers/interns.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C/C++ Software Engineer to work on cutting-edge Enterprise and Consumer-level product lines. If you are passionate about creating scalable, high-performance applications and have a knack for solving complex problems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on Development: Leverage your  C/C++ experience on Linux/Unix/Solaris platforms to build robust and efficient software solutions. Lead all stages of the development life cycle: initial analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support.
  • Design Excellence: Utilize your strong Object-Oriented Design skills, adhering to SOLID principles and design patterns, to independently design complex modules with high-quality code.
  • Debugging and Problem-Solving: Exhibit exceptional debugging and problem-solving abilities, with deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design. Help troubleshoot open issues and bug fixes; enhance design to prevent recurring defects.
  • Concurrency Management: Implement multi-threading, thread synchronization, and parallel processing to enhance application performance.
  • IPC Expertise: Apply your comprehensive understanding of Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms to optimize system interactions.
  • Innovation and Scalability: Drive innovation and develop scalable, high-performance applications that push the envelope of what's possible.
  • Best Practices: Champion best engineering practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, CI/CD pipelines, and testing.
  • Strategic Contribution: Participate in engineering roadmap discussions and collaborate with PM and leadership teams to explore untapped market opportunities.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical growth and excellence within the team.
  • Latest Standards: Stay updated with the latest C++ standards (C++11 and/or C++14) and unit testing frameworks. Stay abreast of current trends, industry best practices, and applicable technologies, including scripting, security issues, authoring tools, modern design tools, and new languages.An ideal candidate would have
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, product management, SecOPS, and DevOps. Build relationships with all functional areas and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to timely deliver on the product roadmap. 

Desirable skills:

  • Good understanding of Networking
  • Exposure to Security technologies
  • Exposure to SSL/TLS and Cryptography
  • Familiarity with Golang

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering (M.E / M.Tech, B.E / B.Tech, MCA).
  • 12 to 15 years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or similar roles
