We are seeking a talented Principal QA Engineer to deliver roadmap features of Enterprise TruRisk Platform which would help customers to Measure, Communicate and Eliminate Cyber Risks.  

Working with a team of engineers and architects, you will be responsible for creating an automation regression test bed & prototyping, designing, developing, and supporting a highly scalable QA framework to test all the products and features of Qualys Platform. Along with existing Integrations and connector certifications.

This position is for our fastest-growing R&D center in Pune, India, which is part of the multi-continent engineering team. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work as IC for Automation & Manual QA Effort on API Integration and Third-Party Connectors for the Qualys products. 
  • Big data automation experience - Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Elastic Search
  • Design and develop automation framework using Java, Python, Cucumber, Jmeter
  • Build and develop automated performance benchmarks on all releases across all the products for integrations and connectors.
  • Ability to work independently on own tasks and collaboratively with the rest of the team to achieve common goals.
  • Work on automating existing test suites and plan automation for new development/enhancement.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers locally and globally to understand the testing requirements.
  • Understand end-to-end testing requirements and maintain test plans for functionality and system testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication, self-starter, and highly motivated.
  • Communicate test results to identify risks, and dependencies and escalate the same in a timely manner.
  • Ready to pick customer escalations to participate and work closely with engineering

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • 10+ years of work experience in the field of software testing and test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications.
  • Demonstrable 4+ years of experience with RESTful API, API Integration Testing automation, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in Performance testing is must.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX and Windows platforms.
  • Good understanding of APIs and related Integrations
  • Must have built automation framework from the ground up using any one of the Java, Python, Selenium automation framework 

Nice to Have: 

  • Has experience of working in a team which has handled large data volumes and understand distributed systems 
  • Has worked in a containerized deployment model 
  • Has built CI environment using one or more popular tools like Jenkins Pipeline, GoCD, Travis CI etc.
