Engineering Operations Manager

The Qualcomm Cloud Computing team is developing hardware and software solutions spanning the data center, edge, infrastructure, automotive market. Qualcomm’s Cloud AI 100 accelerators are currently deployed at AWS / Cirrascale Cloud and at several large organizations. We are rapidly expanding for large scale deployments and are hiring across many disciplines.    

Job Description:

• Resource planning for multiple concurrent development projects across multiple sites and across multiple market segments.
• Accurate forecast of resource requirements, gaps analysis and ensuring actuals closely track the forecast are key result areas
• Budget and perform variance analysis on financial forecasts (actual vs budget, etc.).
• Manage costs and setup of external vendors
• Analyze function performance by assessing key business metrics and drivers of financial performance.
• Build, improve, and maintain complex financial models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft consistent reporting and messaging.
• Ad hoc analysis to provide decision support for key business initiatives and special projects.
• Regular tracking & reporting of KPIs, Ops highlights, and plans to management

A successful candidate will possess strong initiative, outstanding analytical and communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to manage various projects and deliverables.

Position is strongly team-oriented and involves interactions with several finance and operation functions. Great opportunity in a high visibility role to provide analysis to management while partnering with other finance and business organizations across the Company.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Science or related field.
• 10+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
• 5+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
• 5+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• 5+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Strong presentation skills
• Excellent analytical skills and eye for detail
• Hands-on expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Power Point, Power BI, Tableau/ BI tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Semiconductor domain (not mandatory)
• Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering /Preferred: Master of Business Administration
