General Summary:

Data Engineer will play an integral role in the EDP team for designing, developing and supporting data pipelines in a multi-cloud environment (predominantly in AWS) to enable advanced analytics across enterprise. Responsible for ingesting data from multiple sources, processing through various stages using standardized data lake approach and providing the data for analytics needs. Also involves in supporting data ops including monitoring & optimizing data loads and defining data retention policies for storage and retrieval. The role involves implementation of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing.

Skills/Experience:

    5-7 years of hands-on experience with AWS Suite of services (EC2, IAM, S3, CDK, Glue, Athena, Lambda, RedShift, Dyanmo DB, Snowflake, RDS)
    5-7 years of expertise in scheduling data flows using Apache Airflow
    5-7 years of experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS)
    10+ years of strong data modelling (Functiona, Logical and Physcial) and data architecture experience in Data Lake and/or Data Warehouse
    10+ years of experience with Python or equivalent programming using OOPS, Data Structures and Algorithms
    10+ years of exprience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
    3-5 years of experience with CI/CD and DevOps using Jenkins
    2+ years of experience with design and development of Data APIs (python, flask/fastapi) to expose data in the platform and supporting Document and Graph stores using Polyglot persistence
    2+ years of experience with event/message based integrations (inbound and outbound) on the platform
    Hands on Experience in supporting Machine Learning projects
    Experience with SAFe Agile Scrum methodology in a matrix global team
    Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker or Kubernetes) and Infrastructure automation (CloudFormation or Terraform)
    Attitude and aptitude to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment with a "can do" attitude
    Should have the ability to work and contribute beyond defined responsibilities
    Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with deep problem-solving skills


Nice to Have:

    AWS Certified Data Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    Exposure or experience in other cloud platforms (Azure and GCP)
    Knowledge in handling Big Data using PySpark
    Programming experience in Java or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
OR
7+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

• 3+ years of work experience with programming (e.g., Java, Python).
• 3+ years of work experience with SQL or NoSQL Databases.
• 3+ years of work experience with Data Structures and algorithms.
