The Backend Software Engineer Role

Join the Direct Access Gateway team at Qlik, where you'll play a pivotal role in crafting a groundbreaking solution for our customers. As a Software Engineer, you'll spearhead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our gateway client, empowering users to securely reload behind-the-firewall data within Qlik Sense SaaS applications. Your focus will be on designing and implementing robust solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Kubernetes services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.

• Drive the evolution of our Direct Access Gateway solution, delivering tangible value to customers by enabling secure data reloading.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate new capabilities seamlessly, fostering a cohesive product ecosystem.
• Champion best practices in software engineering, contributing to the growth and success of the team and the organization as a whole.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• 2-3 years of experience in delivering enterprise software and/or cloud SaaS solutions, demonstrating a track record of impactful contributions.
• Proficiency in .NET Core, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience, showcasing your ability to develop robust, scalable solutions.
• Strong familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, enabling you to architect and deploy resilient services.
• Experience in cloud problem analysis using platforms like Splunk or Sumo Logic, showcasing your ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud-based environments.
• Solid understanding of distributed architecture principles, particularly in microservices environments, to drive efficient system design and implementation.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with WiX Toolset, enhancing your toolkit for software deployment and installation.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 CAD - $132,000 CAD per yearFinal compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
