The Booking squad has the mission to provide seamless and reliable scheduling experience for both our learners and tutors, to empower them in their journey of establishing and maintaining learning habits.

As a team, we are primarily focused on our scheduling system, which means working with different time zones and calendars. In joining our team, you have a great opportunity to gain new skills and solve tough problems! Upcoming projects include: creating an API for our internal teams to build their own solutions based on our flows, enhance scheduling system and UI/UX across our projects, enhance security and reliability by working with security vendors, and implementing end-2-end test coverage.

What you’ll be doing:

You will work in a cross-functional team alongside the Product Manager, UI designer, copywriters, data analytics and engineers to deliver engaging features and experiments to our users. You will be customer-focused and keep page speed and site performance at the top of mind in the work you do. 

• Think beyond the code and about our customers, understand the needs of our users and define solutions with your Product Manager and Tech Lead;
• Primarily develop and own frontend features using React/Typescript;
• Contribute to backend code using Python/Django;
• Balance short-term speed of development with the long-term technical quality of our systems;
• Help us make our best practices even better (test culture, code reviews, mentoring).

What you need to succeed:

• Proficiency in React/Typescript stack, having experience as a Frontend or Fullstack Engineer;
• Experience developing web applications in Python, and willingness to cross-train to our Django stack;
• Good knowledge of CSS (CSS Modules, Styles Components, etc);
• A great collaborator with excellent communication skills;
• High level of self-organization, ownership, and responsibility;
• Willingness to be on-call for your squad (1 week every 5 weeks);
• Minimum B2 English level.

Nice to have:

• Experience with DataDog and/or Sentry;
• Experience with GraphQL;
• Experience with E2E testing (framework doesn’t matter).
