The Matching team’s mission is to inspire students to take their first step in their learning journey with Preply. We work to introduce new students to the benefits of Preply and to help them easily and confidently find their perfect tutor amongst the 32,000+ tutors we have on our platform.

We start by understanding the business problems and customer pain points within our domain and work together to design solutions. We then launch A/B tests designed to make the product understandable and more successful and more loveable. We also work with our Ranking team to provide the best tutor results through our tutor ranking algorithm. And all the while we make sure we develop pages that are highly optimized for SEO and page speed performance for optimal conversion.

At Preply, we release our product 50-60 times per day by leveraging top-notch CI/CD processes. As a fast-growing company we have diverse technical challenges (sometimes we even write about them on our Engineering Blog) that will allow you to develop your skills at scale.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will work in a cross-functional team alongside the Product Manager, UI designers, copywriters, researchers and other engineers to create and deliver engaging features to our users.
• Develop frontend features in React/Typescript, launched in our A/B experimentation framework.
• Aligning your work with our quality practices by writing end-to-end tests, configuring monitoring and alerting, and addressing technical debt.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design GraphQL endpoints.
• Help us make our best practices even better (test culture, code reviews, mentoring).
