Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a critical role in developing web applications and designing accompanying infrastructure within our broader Merchant Accounting System team. This is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on the overall strategy as we leverage the latest web technologies and transition legacy applications.

What you will do:

• The Full Stack Developer works on a small cross-functional development team designing, building, and maintaining web applications and services on the Java platform.

• The agile team has a strong customer focus and relies heavily on automated testing to achieve frequent production deployment of quality software.

Who you are:

• A quick study committed to learning new concepts and skilled in evaluating the latest technologies and frameworks.

• Experienced in taking ownership of tasks, commitments, quality, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented team player with a desire to work on a team and mentor team members when necessary.

• Able to efficiently break down problems and leverage business resources to establish a clear path toward customer value despite the presence of ambiguity.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to communicate intent to other developers through code.

• A solid foundation in software engineering – bachelor’s degree preferred with 3+ years of experience.

• Full-stack Java web development experience including knowledge of common tooling such as Spring and JPA/Hibernate

• Experience in HTML, CSS and cross browser development

• Experience in JavaScript language (ECMAScript 2015 and above)

• Experience with CSS pre-processors like SCSS or LESS

• Experience with Automated UI testing (TestCafe, Protractor or similar)

• Comfort in Linux/UNIX server environments

• Experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL.

• Effective unit, integration, user acceptance testing using libraries like JUnit and Selenium

• Provide outstanding support, including on-call support when necessary.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Building CI pipelines

• Designing and building Angular applications

• Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms

• Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
