Technical Project Manager - Professional Services

Location

This role is 100% remote. Our entire company works virtually, and often across time zones. Your home office is your work location.

Qualifications

• 3+  years of Technical Project Management experience delivering technical software projects.
• 2+ years of experience acting as the primary point of contact for managing client relationships
• 2+ years of experience  and proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodology (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Product Backlogs, Spring Backlogs),  Scrum Master Certification preferred. 
• Experience with and deep understanding of Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence) to plan and prioritize work.
• Experience implementing new cross-functional processes to support growing teams, including mechanizing and automating processes as needed.
• History of quickly building trust within development teams.
• Experience with remote teams and proficiency with Slack/video conferencing preferred.

The Job

Plainsight is looking for a Technical Project Manager to manage computer vision projects from initial project planning to production implementation. As a Technical Project Manager you will oversee the delivery and integration of custom computer vision projects and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of a team of machine learning engineers, software developers, and data scientists. As a Technical Project Manager you will also work closely with product and engineering teams to help align product roadmaps and delivery timelines with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery of projects for one or more software and machine learning engineering teams, while also helping prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders.
• Partner with machine learning engineers and solution architects to develop project planning documents and clearly communicate timelines and milestones with customers.
• Support presale SOW documentation and lead post-sale kick-off meetings with customers.
• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project schedules, working closely with the involved departments; ensures that all deliverables are accounted for and completed on time.
• Establish, organize and drive Scrum Ceremonies – Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Demo, and Sprint Review.
• Facilitate effective Scrum Team dynamic to deliver projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain Sprint health via proactive risk management, issue escalation and roadblock resolution.
• Competently track progress against User Stories, develop burndown charts to report Sprint velocity and manage the overall release.
• Perform Product Backlog setup, Backlog grooming, and Story Point Estimation, and identify project interdependencies.
• Act as a liaison between Product Owners, Engineering, and Leadership effectively communicating dependencies and timelines.
• Coordinate with business and technical leads to understand all aspects of product requirements.
• Manages and maintains documentation using Jira/Confluence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$122,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
