• Play a central role in building Placer's mobile SDK with modern mobile technologies and development of best practices in mind
• As part of this role you will work on non-trivial challenges in areas of geospatial data and high performance  optimization while maintaining knowledge and understanding of low level architecture in Android

• Work as part of a team of mobile developers who can do more than basic Android/iOS
• Create a state of the art geospatial algorithms with iterative experimentation that runs on millions of devices
• Develop and own backend services that scale up to millions of devices using serverless and managed cloud solutions
• Go beyond location data and create a holistic data sourcing solution for foot traffic analysis
• Collaborate with Big Data and Data Science teams to design and implement the entire data pipeline
• Help implement quality measurement tools and analyze the performance data

• 5+ years of hands-on mobile development experience with Android
• Supported at least 500k DAU on a single app/SDK
• Experience working and/or building CI/CD pipelines and understanding of modern SW development cycle
• In-depth knowledge of mobile operating systems.
• Seeing software development as the core of what everyone on the team does, and Android/Data Analysis/QA as implementation details
• Be transparent, aspire for excellence but know how to compromise to meet business needs.
• Ability to operate in a flexible, dynamic, yet fast-paced work environment.

• Experience writing Mobile SDKs/Location-driven features.
• Experience working with AWS/GCP/Firebase other Cloud technologies.
• Experience working with Kubernetes/Spark/Kafka/Other large scale technologies.
