Senior Android Developer

We are looking to hire a great Android engineer passionate about green robot devices and who enjoys making mobile products more accessible. You're the one if you want to work in a "product" environment, have what it takes to initiate and execute new initiatives, seek more independence and flexibility in terms of doing things without receiving a "corpuscular" specification before that, and want to drive to the moon with us.

Responsibilities

• Keeping Petcube Android app up and running
• Prototyping new and redesigning existing features
• Showing your solid coding skills and experience with Android SDK, as well as Kotlin and Java
• Supporting and tuning existing codebase and architecture

Requirements

• Experience in building Android applications in Java and Kotlin using Android SDK
• Strong understanding of the object-oriented principles
• Knowledge of multi-threading, caching, and memory management specific to mobile devices
• Feeling "at home" with large codebases
• Familiar with RxJava
• You know how to make UI perfect effortlessly
• Quick learner with a passion for new technologies
• Unstoppable desire to make technology and design decisions to deliver a fast, secure, and insanely usable app
• You're getting excited by ambiguous/undefined problems that are itching to be solved

Nice to have:

• Experience with NDK, C/C++. We have challenging optimizations waiting for you.
• Experience with Kotlin
• Testing frameworks and TDD experience (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, etc.)
• Experience in audio/video streaming technologies and related libraries (ffmpeg, pjsip, etc.)
• Personal published apps
• Personal OSS projects
• Experience in Unix
