Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer, Lead Associate to support the Cyber Mission business unit located out of Laurel, MD. This position will have a primary focus of supporting all aspects of agile software design and development for a capabilities that are integrated into a Data Warehouse. Daily responsibilities for this position include development of new capabilities, testing, optimization and performance tuning, operation, and sustainment functions.
As a Cloud Software Engineer, Lead Associate, you are expected to perform requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution at a high level of proficiency and independence. You are expected to communicate directions and provide guidance to more junior programmer/analysts, as required. You must be adept at developing solutions which integrated or extended COTS or GOTS products. Additionally, you may be responsible for evaluating project needs, determining tasks and durations, and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness.
This position requires on call work.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required
• Five (5) years of relevant experience as a software engineer is required
• A Bachelor's degree in a computer science or technical field is required
• Four (4) additional years of experience can be accepted over a degree
• Experience using Java, Hadoop, and Accumulo
• Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
• Ability to work on call
NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
