Software Engineer- iOS

The Debit Card Engineering team is looking for an iOS Engineer to help design and build applications for PayPal. At PayPal, we work together as small, collaborative teams. We’re passionate about code quality and we’re constantly finding new ways to perfect our processes and product. You will be a member of the Engineering team and will be working on PayPal Cash Card that are directly linked to PayPal’s vision of having a billion active users. We work closely with our design, content, and product teams to build, test, and iterate on new solutions to customers’ problems. We have dedicated teams to support our Continuous Integration, Quality and Release processes. All this results in your code being published in an update to the App Store at least once every 2 weeks.

Your way to impact

• You will enhance and build features and products that will directly impact the user experience of PayPal users, the overall perception of the PayPal brand, and the company’s bottom line
• Work with other engineers, architects, product management, QA and operations teams to develop innovative solutions
• Develop and communicate technical processes, standards, and best practices to the team 

Your day to day

• Works with engineering teams to deliver products on schedule that solve our customers’ problems
• Code, test, and release software adhering to technical and quality standards
• Collaborating with the design team to solve application faults
• Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications
• Design/Architect test automation framework and develop new test automation libraries
• Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures
• Identifying quality issues and creating test reports

What do you need to bring-

• At least 3 years of proven experience building iOS applications in an enterprise environment using Swift
• Proficiency in Swift. Strong understanding of iOS architecture
• Good knowledge of design principles and patterns as well as best practices. Able to provide scenarios and apply appropriate design patterns such as MVVM, Viper, Clean Architecture and etc.
• Comfortable to use tools like XCode, Charles Proxy, Postman (or similar) on a daily basis
• Experience with REST API design and integration
• Skilled at writing Unit, functional and UI automation tests using XCTest, XCUITest or similar (eg., Appium)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating high-quality user experiences
• Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation
• Strong record of collaboration with multiple teams and platforms to deliver and support major projects and features
