Software Engineer 3

As a software engineer of IAOD platform, you will be responsible for building AI-empowered analytical services and automation solutions to solve data and analytical challenges and provide democratized insights and AI/ML based solutions for all roles in for compliance domain.

Primary Job Responsibilities 

Interactive Analytics on Demand (IAOD) platform is a core platform of PayPal’s compliance solution, which provides holistic and deep insights, supports human-guided investigation, delivers insight-driven automations.

As a software engineer of IAOD platform, you will be responsible for building AI-empowered analytical services and automation solutions to solve data and analytical challenges and provide democratized insights and AI/ML based solutions for all roles in for compliance domain.

• Works with PayPal business units and Product Dev teams to design, develop and deliver solutions on one of the largest data platforms in the world.
• Design and develop prototypes for innovative ideas.
• Join in the design and development of applications, to support PayPal business units for compliance and risk management, fraud detection, business insights, predictive analysis, etc. 
• Collaborate with other teams or groups to identify challenges and design solutions.

Basic Requirements

• Major in Computer Science or Engineering
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Solid Java programming skills
• Competent in design/implementation for reliability, availability, scalability and performance
• Competent in software engineering tools and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in design and implementation of REST-APIs and SpringBoot
• Strong communication skills in Oral and Written English

Big Plus:

• Experience in data solutions with big-data technologies including open-source data processing frameworks (e.g. Spark, Flink) and NoSQL database (e.g. HBase, ES, Druid)
• Experience on ML and AI algorithms 
• Knowledge on data-driven automated analytical tools
