As a software engineer of IAOD platform, you will be responsible for building AI-empowered analytical services and automation solutions to solve data and analytical challenges and provide democratized insights and AI/ML based solutions for all roles in for compliance domain.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Interactive Analytics on Demand (IAOD) platform is a core platform of PayPal’s compliance solution, which provides holistic and deep insights, supports human-guided investigation, delivers insight-driven automations.

Works with PayPal business units and Product Dev teams to design, develop and deliver solutions on one of the largest data platforms in the world.
Design and develop prototypes for innovative ideas.
Join in the design and development of applications, to support PayPal business units for compliance and risk management, fraud detection, business insights, predictive analysis, etc.
Collaborate with other teams or groups to identify challenges and design solutions.

Basic Requirements

Major in Computer Science or Engineering
3+ years of professional software development experience
Solid Java programming skills
Competent in design/implementation for reliability, availability, scalability and performance
Competent in software engineering tools and best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in design and implementation of REST-APIs and SpringBoot
Strong communication skills in Oral and Written English

Big Plus:

Experience in data solutions with big-data technologies including open-source data processing frameworks (e.g. Spark, Flink) and NoSQL database (e.g. HBase, ES, Druid)
Experience on ML and AI algorithms
Knowledge on data-driven automated analytical tools
