Job Description Summary:

PayPal, Inc. seeks Site Reliability Engineer 3 in Scottsdale, AZ

Job Duties: Design and develop new and optimized software products and features for PayPal’s monitoring and automation platforms, leverage system administration knowledge and software engineering skills to quickly identify and remediate production-impacting incidents. Act as the first responder to any system and application issues detected in the PayPal Command Center. Develop and enhance production monitoring and management capabilities leveraging existing platforms and tools. Work independently and within a team to triage and remediate production system and application incidents, post implementation. Work with Technical Duty Officer and other support teams inside and outside the Command Center in troubleshooting, escalating, and resolving critical site incidents resulting from malfunctioning software. Periodically test and identify recurring system and application issues and work with cloud teams, infra teams, product development, vendors, and other stakeholders in investigating and resolving causes. 

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as an engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered, as a engineer, or a related occupation.
