The Console ecosystem provides a modern SDK and application platform for the core services that drive product development experience. As part of next phase of console platform evolution, you will also play an active role in enabling applied machine learning use-cases for Console. We deliver a seamlessly scalable, exceptionally efficient, highly reliable developer experience services, platform & infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment. Console provides a platform that enables federated development of these services while ensuring consistent developer experience through the Web/CLI interface for all DPE platform capabilities. Thousands of PayPal developers build and run hundreds of applications processing billions of calls daily with high availability and reliability using capabilities available through Console. Your way to impact
As a Senior Software Engineer work within a team of highly talented engineers, product engineer and architects to design, develop, & maintain a highly scalable, reliable, & self-service enabler Console Platform. In this role for the Console platform team, you will use your skills & experience as a software engineer, to influence the platform vision, architecture and execution of the key capabilities of PayPal’s Developer experience platform.

Your day to day

• You will be involved in all aspects of the SDLC, from ideation to scoping to design & implementation.
• You will lead by example, and elevate the design, implementation, quality, and strong engineering practices across the team
• Work with cross-functional groups and getting results in matrix organizations.
• Maintain and enhance the existing architectural & developer documentations and create new ones.
• Consistently invest in your career growth through new technical or soft skills learnings.

What you need to bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of experience building successful production software systems.
• Self-Starter, Effective Communication, Data driven, Team player,
• Demonstrated experience of building distributed systems with high scalability & availability
• Technical Strength areas: Typescript, JavaScript, HTML DOM, NodeJS, React, HTTP, REST API's, design patterns, Unit testing with Jest, Mocha, or other similar tools.
• Competent in software engineering tools (e.g. build tools) and best practices (e.g. unit testing, test automation, continuous integration, etc.)
• ​Familiarity with Storybook component development, OCLIF/other terminal development frameworks, Webpack or related web bundling & library delivery tools
• Knowledge of DevOps and public cloud technologies is a plus.  
• Experience with JAVA, Spring boot, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with applied Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
