Cloud Infrastructure/Data Engineer

In your day-to-day role, on a more practical level, you will design and maintain the infrastructure and resources needed to run large-scale data pipelines. Additionally, you will manage and maintain our Google Cloud Platform organization. 

With that in mind, here you will get the opportunity to:  

• Govern the infrastructure and resources in GCP (primarily) and AWS

• Enable internal stakeholders to leverage GCP resources for their needs. 

• Collaborate with the rest of the Data Platform team, in a cross-functional way, to deliver value and reach team goals. 

• Drive projects and implementations within our team’s areas of responsibility. 

• On-call duties may be required. 

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be managing resources and infrastructure in the Google Cloud Platform. The infrastructure is defined in Terraform and we are using both continuous integration and deployment. 

• Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform tools and services 

• Solid knowledge of Terraform and IaC (for orchestration and configuration) 

• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD solutions 

• Kubernetes management and deployments 

• Experience in Bash or Python 

• Strong communication skills 

• Bonus: It’s a bonus if you have working experience with Java, Kotlin, Airflow, Spark, Beam, or BigQuery.
