As our company grows rapidly, our tech infrastructure is growing rapidly as well. To scale and make sure our platform is performant, we need someone defining key health metrics, improving on existing tech architecture, and constantly monitoring what can be improved across our systems.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product and engineering to make sure existing and new tech architecture scales well
• Automate deployment and data pipelines, be a driver of our data and release policies
• Be the owner of Parade Engineering product health

What Success Would Look Like in Your First Few Months 

• Automate deployments using Kubernetes on GCP for new products/microservices
• Create a new set of health metrics, and share visibility on health across teams
• Transition existing infrastructure to a standardized vision for infra going forward, using infrastructure-as-code
• Dive into optimizing performance for features and pipelines using a scripting language
• Define best security and automation best practices across the engineering organization

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience working with Google Cloud Platform
• 3+ years as a Platform, Devops, or Site Reliability Engineer 
• Professional experience in development or scripting 
• Professional experience working with highly distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Certifications - the more the better! 
• Experience working with a B2B SaaS company, or a high-growth startup
• Scripting experience with Python or JavaScript
