Senior Software Engineer, iOS

What You’ll Do:

• Help Paceline customers achieve healthy behavior by building and delivering customer facing features on the Paceline app using the latest iOS technologies and development ecosystem.
• Write clean, maintainable code along with automated tests that will be shared across projects and development teams. 
• Partner with design and product teams to influence and uplevel product strategy and customer experience.
• Manage a modern development process from feature inception to production deployment.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams, including backend developers and team leads as well as cross-functional product partners

• Mentor other engineers, establish best practices, develop coding standards and build out design patterns to help scale the system and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Has 5+ years software engineering experience building iOS apps 
• Experience leading the technical design of complex apps for large scale direct to consumer iOS applications
• Ability to write clear and high-performance code in Swift and highly fluent in object-oriented design best practices. 
• A well-rounded understanding of iOS frameworks and development ecosystem.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and a desire to make things "pixel-perfect."
• Experience designing APIs to enable highly performant apps.  Preferred understanding of the Backend for Frontend (bff) pattern and have designed and implemented it.
• Be reasonably opinionated on tools, frameworks, architectures, and working processes, and can communicate your ideas effectively with a diverse team

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $200,000 determined by a comprehensive and data driven approach. The actual base salary offered may be higher or lower, depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.

Paceline currently employs in San Francisco, CA and Boston, MA with an in-office hybrid model of 2-3 days per week.
