Product Marketing Intern

The Job

As a Product Marketing Intern with Own, you will be an integral part of our product marketing team, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of product marketing and contributing to the overall success of our go-to-market efforts. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to Own's product strategy and work on innovative data protection and management technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Program Dates: June 3rd - August 16th 2024

Your Day-to-Day Role

• Assist in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for Own's products, including market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights
• Support the creation of product marketing materials such as presentations, collateral and promotional content 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure cohesive product positioning and messaging
• Contribute to market opportunity assessments and development of strategic marketing themes
• Help organize and execute product marketing events, including webinars
• Support monthly release marketing efforts

Your Work Experience

• Currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field with a keen interest in technology and at least one quarter/semester to complete after the internship 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and compelling way
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with some ambiguity, across multiple product domains
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Hands-on experience or passion for the Salesforce, ServiceNow, and/or Microsoft ecosystem(s) a plus
• Familiarity with the SaaS data protection, management or analytics space a plus

Important Details

The Own Company Emerging Talent Program is a paid, 10-week learning experience in which interns collaborate closely on company projects and initiatives in their respective professional areas of interest. Interns also work in teams throughout the summer on a specific project, which is presented to our senior leadership team at the end of the summer.

This role will require you to work from our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office to maximize collaboration and interaction with the marketing team. Travel to events may be required.
