WHAT YOU'LL DO
This is your chance to directly impact Optiver’s cutting-edge trading systems. Your challenge is to further innovate and maintain the foundation underlying our wider infrastructure.
We are looking for a senior Modern Workplace Engineer to work directly with the knowledgeable global Enterprise Operations team, the very best traders and other technologist experts to provide high quality solution designs and implementations related to our Modern Workplace setup and support of our complex infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to combine your knowledge in IT Infrastructure, project management and customer service with a problem-solving mindset in order to solve business issues and independently work on improvement opportunities.
- As a senior Modern Workplace Engineer you will be working mostly on projects related to our Windows SOE, for both Windows clients and Windows servers, either as a resource or as the project lead, delivering projects of all sizes from conception all the way to completion.
- You will be part of a small and fast-paced Enterprise Operations team distributed across APAC, Europe and the USA working on maintaining our infrastructure and acting on alerts raised by our monitoring systems, escalations of user issues and some advanced user requests.
- Architect, design and implement global solutions related to Modern Workplace and Windows SOE solutions, mostly based on Microsoft technologies like Intune, Config Manager (SCCM), Azure, Microsoft & Office 365 services and others.
- Work on user requests related to our enterprise infrastructure and serve as an escalation point for the user support team.
- Act on enterprise infrastructure related issues and constantly improve the monitoring of those.
- Be part of a small group of owners of a large number of Windows Servers and Clients fleet, both on-premises and cloud based, being responsible for their SOE management and lifecycle, including OS, drivers, patching, applications and deployment of those.
WHO YOU ARE
Optiver needs our next Modern Workplace Engineer to be someone with:
- 8-10 years of experience working in a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer related role.
- Extensive experience in leading, driving and planning large scale IT projects.
- Advanced Intune, Config Manager (SCCM), Azure, Microsoft & Office 365 skills.
- Advanced PowerShell & automation skills.
- High sense of ownership, conscientiousness and an attitude that embraces ambiguity.
- Great collaboration, communication and customer service skills.
