The Challenge 

OneTrust is creating an Industry Best in Class Value Engineering Practice.  

As Principal Business Value Engineer, you will be responsible for building, championing & developing our Value Engineering practice in line with our global GTM organisation. You have experience in Value Engineering Organisations, you are an entrepreneur, self-started with hands-on experience on building the Value Engineering Function from ground-up. This position will give you exposure to our Senior Executives across Product, Marketing, Sales, Solution Engineering & Strategy functions. 
 
As our Value Engineering founder, you will work with several business stakeholders, allowing you to understand challenges, objectives and key milestones on their Trust Transformation. With the objective to understand where OneTrust is bringing value and potential benefits of the usage of our Trust Intelligence Platform. 

You will assist our customers & prospects in understanding the quantitative and qualitative improvements expected throughout their company lifecycle, showcasing plans to help them reach their goals & maximise impact on their investments on our Trust Intelligence Platform". 

Your Mission 

  • Lanch a world class Value Engineering practice and engagement model across the entire GTM customer experience organization and enable OneTrust to utilize this practice consistently and effectively retaining, expanding & growing our customer base. 
  • Co-Lead value-based activities in the sales cycle to drive customer consumption and remain engaged with customers ensuring successful value realization through their OneTrust partnership. 
  • Develop new tools, methods, and frameworks that articulate and quantify the value of OneTrust - drive business value discovery workshops with c-suite and present deliverables to customer executives.  
  • Execute in a scalable way, making sure your new Tools, Assets, Methodologies are used in a replicable way across the Global GTM Team 
  • Research customers and prospects & build value propositions highlighting the quantitative and qualitative impact OneTrust can make to their business & long term strategy. 
  • Surface, formalize, and roll out value selling best practices globally and help kick-start new sales regions and industry teams. 

You Are 

  • Entrepreneurial - ability/desire to build OneTrust Value Engineering practice 
  • Competitive in Value Selling 
  • Highly collaborative with a deep sense of ownership and accountability to the team and company. 
  • Data-driven, with a track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize, drive 
  • Hands on, player-coach, responsible for building & growing a high performing Value Engineering team. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in sales cycles, evangelizing product strategy, and interfacing with customers and partners. 
  • Passion for working in a lean, fast-paced organization, and desire to own and refine processes 
  • An energetic and can-do attitude with ability to rally teams around an initiative 
  • Willingness to travel as needed, up to 25%
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent 
  • 12-16 years of relevant experience in the technology industry, ideally in an Enterprise Cloud-based Software company 
  • 5+ years Value Engineering experience for a successful B2B software company. 
  • Ability to build relationships across stakeholders in R&D, marketing, sales and engineering 
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills to excel in a complex and rapidly evolving environment   

Extra Awesome 

  • Experience in privacy, security or data governance markets and the challenges enterprise face with managing risk and compliance programs.
