Senior Information Security Engineer

The Challenge   

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Information Security Engineer to design, build, and maintain critical security infrastructure and controls in the OneTrust environment relating to discovery, governance, and protection of data. Contributions will be key in the successful delivery of enterprise corporate services and customer facing solutions. This role will be responsible for multiple areas of information security, not just a single area or solution.

Your Mission   

To serve as a product champion, understanding business drivers and processes to evaluate both OneTrust's Data Governance product and practices. 

• Collaborate with various business areas and teams to evaluate data governance and protection strategies to improve security posture and enhance protection of sensitive data
• Lead the implementation of the data governance and protection strategy and program
• Facilitate discussions with business partners to educate them about applicable data protection requirements, including those relevant to cybersecurity
• Respond to security tickets that require engineering configuration changes or enhancements
• Collaborate with internal partners to evaluate potential compliance areas to identify gaps and ensure full compliance with data protection laws and regulations
• Assist in investigation and remediation of security incidents and issues
• Serve as Security Subject Matter Expert for data governance & protection and data loss prevention
• Provide input and feedback on cloud/hybrid security solutions
• Consult on, and provide requirements for critical projects and initiatives
• Interact with customers on security-related projects and operational tasks, and prepares/conducts briefs to leadership
• Provide leadership and work prioritization for projects monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion
• Implement new security solutions as project-based initiatives
• Effectively communicates to management and business stakeholders the status of projects and issues as they relate to Cloud Security
• Create documentation for security projects as part of project delivery
• Creates automation of procedures
• Revise documents and artifacts as tactics and techniques evolve to address new and emergent threats and trends
• Mentor other team members including security analysts and more junior engineers

You Are    

A team player able to successfully deploy and manage security solutions assigned as a primary owner. You are able to cross train in other solutions, engage in review of security configurations for critical projects or solutions, and able to mentor/lead other team members. 

• Deep background in all aspects of Security
• Knowledge of best practices in protecting information
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with multiple teams and vendors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Keen attention to details, while keeping the big picture in mind
• Ability to work with no direct supervision

Your Experience Includes   

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related subject
• 4+ years of security experience
• 3+ years cloud experience
• Understanding of information security best practices around confidentiality, integrity and availability 
• Experience data discovery and data protection tools (Varonis, OneTrust Data Discovery & Governance, Azure eDiscovery, Azure Information Protection, .etc.)
• Strong organizational skills to excel in a complex and rapidly evolving environment 

Extra Awesome

• 2+ years of experience with OneTrust Data Discovery / Data Governance, Varonis, and/or BigID
• 3+ years of experience with Azure eDiscovery and Azure Information Protection
• 3+ years of experience with data loss protection
• Cloud and/or Security Certifications
