We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our IAM Sessions team. The Sessions team is one of the teams responsible for implementing the Identity Protocols that lie at the heart of our authentication engine. The Sessions team looks after the authenticated state of our users, across all their devices and applications. Their current focus is to enhance our session management capabilities to provide our customers better visibility of their users, fine-grained management of their sessions and more tools to deal with security incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Be a part of a fast paced, agile team.
- Design and build features using technologies such as Node.js, AWS, Azure, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with industry leading experts to implement the cutting-edge of Identity Protocols and Open Standards such as OpenID Connect, OAuth and SAML
- Maintain and operate services with extremely high scale at the core of our product.
A great candidate will have:
- 2+ years of software development experience using Node.js (JavaScript or Typescript) or similar language.
- An interest in working on systems that are highly-reliable, maintainable and scalable.
- Familiarity with good engineering practices and testing.
- A systematic problem-solving approach and a desire to learn.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS and Azure preferred).
- The ability to communicate your ideas and collaborate with other team members effectively in a remote working environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with Identity Protocols such as OAuth, OIDC and SAML
- Experience with Cloud environments from several vendors.
- You understand the Devops culture and like moving between infrastructure and code.
- Knowledge of security engineering and application security.
- Proven experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, security, data, integration, and application layers.
