About the Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues related to Ockam Open Source and Ockam Orchestrator and to find viable solutions while maintaining detailed communication with customers and responsiveness to their needs. You will contribute to product growth and development. The Support Engineer will attend customer meetings as needed to help identify, debug and resolve the customer issue and will serve as a liaison between the customer and Ockam engineering.

This is an exciting role where you will work directly with builders in enterprises, collaborators at Add-on partners, the broad open source community and the core Ockam engineering team.

You will leverage your prior expertises as a senior engineer to work with customers to resolve issues and support tickets - this is a great opportunity to jump into the Rust and Open Source ecosystem in earnest.

Responsibilities

    • Resolve customer issues involving code error diagnosis, debugging, validation, and root cause analysis
    • Manage large and/or complex customer relationships
    • Understand Ockam's Open Source ecosystems and best practices
    • Create and curate of knowledge-base articles and documentation to help customers help themselves
    • Build technical solutions in multiple languages
    • Advocate for our customers, influence product direction through customer feedback
    • Strong degree of empathy for the customer experience

Experience

    • Working with customers in the open source developer ecosystem
    • Drafting customer architecture summaries
    • Cloud environments and tools
    • Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to support customers over email, phone or screen-shares
    • Managing sales pipelines
    • Solutions / sales / support engineer at a dev tool or cloud infrastructure company
    • Exhibit strong team oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people and roles from junior engineers to senior executives
    • Ability to successfully manage your time, balancing multiple tasks with varying levels of priority and urgency
    • At least 5 years of developer/engineering experience
