Description

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer with strong Networking knowledge and experience in Automation to join our IB Network Operating System QA Team (NOS QA). Our QA team is responsible to test and qualify NVIDIA IB/IBg2/NVL5 Systems. We learn new features, design, test, and write automation tests, Working closely with the engineering and product teams. You will be involved in devising the testing strategy, identifying components suitable for automation, creating, writing, and implementing test cases for NVIDIA applications. In this role, you will also review software requirements, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage, and contribution to the development of new tests while updating existing ones.

What you'll be doing:

  • Review Arch design and requirements for new features introduced in the product.

  • Design, develop, and implement tests for the new features, as part of Software releases.

  • Writing automation tests in multiple frameworks (Python, Perl). Developing automation frameworks to increase efficiency, re-usability, and flexibility. Improvements and maintenance of each framework.

  • Schedule test runs, publish reports and analysis with detailed and specific bug reports for failures

  • Assess progress and communicate testing status reports, assist with bug reproduction and debug sessions to understand root cause, and verify bug fixes provided by the R&D team.

  • Collaborate and work closely with remote teams.

What we need to see:

  • BA/ B.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Systems/Electrical Engineering.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in QA/Networking.

  • Background in software testing methodology, test development, execution and report generation.

  • Strong technical debug skill to analyze the defect root of cause and optimize the test configuration for feature test, Efficiently prioritize and implement them.

  • Experience in test automation using Perl, Python, Shell scripting to develop and automate test cases on UNIX platforms.

  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Clear verbal and written communication, proficient in written and spoken English.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experienced in Python automation and source control tools like GIT/Gerrit.

  • Good Linux and Linux kernel knowledge.

  • Experience with various computing and environments: Linux KVM, VMware, Linux, Window OS systems.

  • Deep knowledge of internals of TCP/IP Routing, LAN Switching equipment.
